and the bmw hardwax http://stephenjamesparts.co.uk/epag.../Shops/eshop113974/Products/"83 12 0 411 238"
from the local dealer . i am a bit comfused of the function of it , i was told the paintwork cleaner cleans minor scratches, like polish but without taking a lair off the paint(like polish) .. i saw on the net that the paintwork cleaner is for old paint/non metalic ..my paint is 10 month old and isnt metalic (alpine white) , so should i use the paintwork claner and than the wax ? just the wax ?
and how do i use it ?
thanks in advance

BMW products are Sonax. Visit sonax website for more information. Are you going to polish by hand or machine ? By hand is very difficult to remove scratches ...

hi thankd for the answer ..
by hand ..i have no scratches ..and i want to do the most gentle gob there is ..so maybe its better by hand ..

By hand is better to use Autoglym Super Resin Polish.
First wash the car then clay , wash again, polish with AG ,then use AG Extra Gloss Protection and leave it on the car for about 30-60 mins before removing it. Leave the paint cure for 24 hours and the next day use a carnaube wax(2-3 coats) for extra shine e.g. P21s, Victoria Concours ... :driving:

I never used Sonax polish so I do not know how good it is. I hear that Nano polish from Sonax is very good but it needs machine. Shampoo and other products of Sonax are used by me and are very good products!

Yes, that is a non-metallic paint color. A good thin coat of wax followed up by another thin coat of wax and you should be good to go.

thanks for your answers ...
so i didnt understnad yet if the paintwork cleaner will take off a layer from the paint or not ..is the clay bar less agrasive ?
thanks ..

Polish, applied properly, will note take any clearcoat or paint off your car. Most polishes aren't designed with enough abrasives to take paint off anyway. They are there to knock down the minute corners of scratches to make them less visible to the human eye.
A clay bar is used to remove surface contaminants and has no abrasive qualities. If the surface of your car is clean then if I were you don't worry about the polish and not bother with it. Put a coat of wax on and enjoy your Z4.

Cheers,
Greg
