BMW Nav DVD 2007.2?

Guys, if you do go for the latest BMW "offer" for the latest Nav disc be advised that depending on the firm ware state of your Nav system you may not be able to use all the extra functions on the disc. You will of course get the updated road network but not necessarily all the other bells and whistles that you are paying for.
I queried this at the local dealer and they offered to update my car for £38.50! Its a 5 minute job, CD in, boot-up, CD out.
If your car is more than a year old check with the dealer that you will be able to use all the functions on a new Nav DVD.

Good point - but just also shows what robbing B******* BMW are..... £38.50 to update firmware. Unbelievable

For the record, I still think the Z4 nav is appalling - the maps are shocking and out of date, and even free google maps on my mobile, with maps from the same complany (Navteq) has addresses on I can't locate in my motor.
