BMW M-Sport trouser tearing phenomenon

I noticed something peculiar on a couple of pairs of trousers I tend to wear when I go driving and suspect the problem's stemming from my car seats! See pics.. Over time this pair and another have developed perfect tears at the back of the trouser legs. I paired the tears with the point of the m sport seats where the seat extension begins.

Anyone else had this issue before??

Maybe on those pair of pants you wear in the zed you tend to get the case of butt munchies but instead of between the cheeks its under them.

I have some brown driving "pants" but not trousers.

I have also never seen a car seat that was capable of splitting fabric.

PVR used to change to specific shoes to drive his car before I bought it and taught it about the real world... I guess he does it with his Porsche now. Though tbh I have a pair of very thin-soled trainers that I prefer to drive in if I can.

Never heard of trousers being cut/ripped like that though. Maybe a manufacturing flaw ? :?

Bloody hell. I drive in anything in the course of a week. I wear trainers socially but for work I have a pair of smart shoes, then I can wear safety boots for site work. I also run a kids football team so I do sometimes drive in my studs. Never had a problem or mis-controlled the car.

Looking at the white pants issue, could they have been slashed by another chav?

*Apologies, I have a pair of white Adidas track suit bottoms and I only wore them once as I realised I looked terrible.

PVR was about keeping the car clean - I know how to work a Hoover ... Though I coach rugby and wouldn't drive in my studs, I'd always change out of dirty boots of any kind. Anyway, we're well off-topic
