Saw this advert on the rear cover of the BMWCCGB magazine this month. £249. Is this just an over-priced version of what some of you guys already do with data-loggers? Looks slick though.

Yeah I thought they would be. They do some nice stuff but it's ridiculous pricing. The take-up levels must be really low.

My Alpina D3BT had a steering wheel with lights like that, swmbo and the kids wouldn't let me drive with them switched on :lol: :lol: took the pi$$ event time so I turned them off when they were with me :lol:

Doesn't look much different to a wireless OBD dongle and Dashcommand - but with £200 added on for the BMW branding.

Main issue with that is for lap timing, your phone GPS is nowhere near good enough. Telemetry graphs are too spikey and unreliable. Money would be far, far better spent on a Vbox.
