I went the other night but it was snowing,
Ive been up here before as its only 2 streets away from my house and usually see cars not yet released and today was no exception,

I went a few weeks ago and seen a lot of the new E92 M3's
a few 4 doors and a few coupes last time I was there, I seen a 4 door Silverstone M3  that one stood out and If I replace my M with a M3 it will defiantly be Silverstone,

anyway on with the pics, These were taken with my iPhone so the quality isn't great but I knew there really wasn't going to be ground breaking BMW's here so these pics will have to do,

Firstly I arrive at BMW NA HQ in Woodcliff Lake NJ,

First thing I spot was a euro 1 Series hatchback, This car won't be released in the US and its pretty busted looking so you can see why,
Ive seen them before in England zipping around all over London so its not huge to me to see it,

It had no model badge on the back but I defiantly seen an intercooler on it so its either a Euro 135i hatch or a Diesel model (seems like the Diesel BMW's are very popular in Europe, They pretty much have every BMW with a Diesel engine over there)

Then onwards I spotted a US Spec 1 Series Coupe,

I decided I would get out and take a pic of the front as there was no model badge and sure enough I spot an intercooler so I'm guessing its a US spec 135i

and a quick pic of mine with a load of other BMW's just for fun

Then when I was leaving this Mini caught my eye,
Its the new mini clubman, I thought this wasn't released yet and this was just a concept model but upon further research a few dealers have them in stock and they start the 08 model year with this new design,
Id never seen one before, Only in magazines so heres a few pics of that

and thats it,
all these years Ive lived next to BMW and Mercedes HQ (they are right next to each other) and I have seen all these new cars rolling around there streets by my house Ive never taken a camera up there and snapped pics,

Ive seen the new models before they came out such as the current Z4, the new X5, the current E90 3 Series and as mentioned the new E92 M3 to name a few,
Usually Id see them driving around in the months leading up to their release in the US

With the new E92 M3's scheduled for customer delivery at the end of this week Ive heard its no wonder there not sitting here anymore, Shame as I would have liked to snap a few pics for here but within a few weeks you should start seeing one or two either in dealers or new owners hands,
a friend of mine who used to work here in BMW HQ said he used to service all the Mclaren F1's there and has personally seen an worked on Ralph Laurens 2 McLarens,

What a bloody shame one of those wasn't outside lol

I guess you never know what you'll find on the lot there
as I said usually its packed with cars, all new release cars and cars that haven't been delivered yet,

When the new X5 and facelift Z4 came out the lots were almost full of new cars, I expect to start seeing the X6's around soon so ill keep popping up there and keep my eyes out

I think ill try to do a good photoshoot of my car up there in the summer

What a bad decision for BMW not to have this hatchback here in NA. I think it looks gobs better than the sedan, and I would consider buying it too!

The clubman has been around for some time here. It's an attempt at a niche sector and sort of pays homage to the original clubman from the 60's which was a mini estate.

IMHO one to miss, lacking any style, too small to be useful as a transporter and having a bizarre half door on one side, which incedentally in the UK is perfect to let kids out into the middle of the road and passing traffic....

I think your own Zed is the best car you pictured...lol

LOL that you think the 5-door 1-series is "busted looking" and the 1-series coupe isn't! The coupe looks so much like a Hyundai Accent it's unreal.

 Thanks lol,

I dont think many yanks will know about the mini clubman,
my Mum told me she used to have one, Im not sure if they will do well over here

I think they may do well here, despite having the door on the wrong side. There's a sliding door on the right-hand side on all models. That's great for a LHD (EU+US) car, as it's kerbside. Not so great for a RHD car as your passengers exit into the traffic.

Oh negative I think they are both busted
I didn't like the 1 Series when I seen it in Europe, and the Coupe I agree looks like a Hyundai,

Ill stick with the M thank you :P

how do you like your z4m roadster ? stiff ride ? did you drived the z4m coupe ? compare the 2 ?

I have a z4m coupe and, I am thinking to also swap my 2003 330 cic imola red for a identical to yours.

Carl - actually the door is a small suicide door that of course opens outwards and to the rear, rather than sliding. Much criticised in the UK

Here's a few pictures of the original Mini and original Clubman for those in the US who have never seen one. The green Mini is identical to my first car (1963 saloon model) that cost me £45 funded from my Saturday job....My first project was to take the 850cc engine out and drop a 1340cc race tuned Cooper motor in :driving:

Whilst we are on the subject, i saw another 1 series coupe this morning............what a load of garbage, about as attractive as a melted bucket !.......i can only imagine that the convertible version is equally naff ! :o

Feel better now, other than that, i agree your Z looks the biz.
