BMW Extended Warranty

Does anyone have any info on BMW extended warranty? The Manufacturers waranty runs out in Feb and as I have a 3.0 si Coupe I am a little concerned about the N52 engine ticking problem. As yet I don;t think mine has made any noises but i only really drive it weekends so am concerned the problem may arrive as soon as warranty expires :o

Anyone know what the warranty covers and how much it costs and what the excess is?

You'll probably get a reminder a month or two before your current one runs out. It will have a link to the BMW Warranty website where you put your details in to get a quote.

The main page is here.

Just click the quote option, put your reg in, your surname, and the last 7 digits of your VIN is the PIN.

Might not work without an 'invite' though, as it might not have your name in the system.

Cheers looks like I have to wait untill I get an invitation letter. I see there are three levels of service the named component one looks interesting but I wonder what the price difference will be compared to the comprehensive one?

If your main concern is the engine then you might consider the driveline option, on my ///M it dropped the price by £20 per month although I don't think I'm going to worry about warranty, and just bank the £70 each month.
