A few days after I bought my z4 I noticed a slight bubbling under the paint on drivers door, just under the wing mirror about 20mm long, called in the local dealer and asked them to inspect it and could it be done under warranty, they took a few pictures, rung me the nex day to book it in and informed me they would fit a complete new drivers door and respray/blow both wings in , not bad at all for an eight year old car.....

They checked that there had been no resprays by a non dealer and checked the rust spot had not started from a stone chip so they were happy and honoured it under the twelve year paint warranty, I thought they would of just resprayed the affected area but that's not BMW,s policy apparently.
 
To be honest it's the only bit of saving grace after these past couple of weeks, on New Year's Eve a firework decided to target my bonnet leaving a nice dent and when I took the car back the garage I bought it from to have a new sensor fitted instead of driving the car on the ramp they decided to drive it into the ramp!

All repaired now though....
