BMW cheaper !!!!!

Thinking about new front tyres at some time soon - checked out my usual local tyre shop who has always been cheapest - came up with £195 each fitted. My 3.0 zed is fitted with 17" runflats . As the two rear tyres are new when I bought car and have only covered 260 miles I'm sticking to runflats and keep to the same make ie Continentals. Don't like going to BMW but thought I'd pop in and ask and lo and behold they can do same tyres for £152 each ( fitted with new valves, balanced etc ).I have to eat humble pie on this occasion !!

Continentals are not the best but they seem ok to me - here on the Isle of Wight its difficult to get into 6th gear let alone really test out the performance of the Zed - mind you can do some serious posing anywhere !

Don't forget that prices can change from month to month (sometimes day to day), so it always pays to look around - sometimes you win, sometimes you don't.
 
I recently checked the prices of RFt's and BMw was offering a great deal , approx 2/3 rds the list price. It was too bad the tire shop around the corner was $100 cheaper per wheel.

I put Conti Sport 3's on and bought a mobility kit instead ....
 
Hi Gov, I have used Southern Tyres at Somerton for a pair of Michelins for the ex. once and got a good price. Also Fleet Mobile Tyres, they come to your house or place of work. I got a set of Avons for my 3 series for an excellent price from them and they are negotiable. Call Michele or Robert on 08456 445035.
I know what you mean about Snows, I dealt with Andy Ball who has been excellent with fair prices and good service.
Unlike your local Mercedes dealer...............

Thanks for tip - I'll give them both a ring. My real concern is that they don't mark my alloys when fitting ( wheels only recently been refurbished - BMW better chance of this not happening !!!!!!! ha ha )

When were you last on the IOW?
