BMW Assist is the breakdown service you get when you buy a new, AUC or extended BMW warranted car.

Seemed to work fine for me.
 
I think my wife called them up once because of a light on the dashboard... they correctly identified it as the oil light.

Cool. My wife would have driven 100 miles, gone out shopping next day, gone to work for the rest of the week then mentioned the oil light thingy has been 'on for a while' :wink:

That's why she has a polo not a Z. :roll:

my ex would have thought it looked nicer cos it had an extra light
 
My mum onced used it on her E90 to find where the hatfield outlet village was - they sent the directions to her nav, so just had to open the message and hit start nav!!
 
They towed my M3 Ci to Spokane (75 miles to the nearest BMW dealer) at 11pm on a Sunday night after I blew the rear tires apart.
 
Is there anyone in the US that has actually used BMW assist in their Z4? I'm debating whether to start paying the yearly $200 for it, as my factory warranty expires soon. Is it worth it? I'd like to hear about US drivers' experiences with it. My thoughts: though I've never used it, the theft recovery feature and collision notification seem like good features, for less than $17/month. Towing to a nearby tire store is better than nothing, but carrying a spare and/ or Goop with an air compressor are better options.
