BMCABLES OBD Scanner / Code Tool

Hi All,

I know this has probably been done to death.. I have tried to search but not got a definitive answer.

However, upon reading some other threads I came across one of these from an Ebay seller.

http://www.bcables.com/buynow.html

Has anyone had any experience with these?
Are they any good and easy to navigate around?

Any feedback would be great as I have an intermittent fault that keeps popping up, as if by coincidence just after I collect it from the stealers.. :headbang:

Also I want to be able to code some things on like "auto lock when driving" etc.

Cheers,
Dan.

Hey,
there are lots of good threads around, I think to start here again would be unfair as you might miss out on lots of good info. It depends on how far you want to go, there are many people who have a laptop for coding only I believe. If you want to do something simple I would google it, find the guide and use whatever cable they used. If you want a simple fault reader then you can get cheap cables - I think ipaid £14 for mine? someone will tell me that you can do it cheaper!

Thanks for the reply.

I want to catch this pesky fault that seems to come and go whenever it pleases, that's the main reason for the OBD Scanner but I do want to code also.

I feel that for £27 it's not a bad purchase if it does what it says it does - but if it is a waste of time then I'd rather not purchase it and get something different.
It was more of a review on this product - the reviews on the bay seem promising but still unsure?

Cheers

I just bought one so will give it a whirl. If it's junk then Paypal can sort it out. :)

Was just thinking of doing the same, just buy it and sort out any issues later 8)

Well just purchased it now, if seller claims to deliver next day, it'll hopefully be tomorrow or Friday.. fingers crossed!

Cheers
Dan

I got one last year. Took me several attempts to get it working. :(

i got one, it did what i bought it for to clear airbag light ,but does not come with any instructions on how to use it so you might have to do a bit of trial and error once connected to the car
