Bluetooth yet another question

Hi all

I’ve spent the last couple of evenings reading through various threads on this forum only to end up more confused than when I started. I do realise that this subject has been covered many times.

Basically I have an E85, 55reg, with BMW business radio and factory fitted 6CD multi changer in the centre console between the seats and factory fitted multi function steering wheel. No OEM sat nav.

I want to fit something that will allow me to play music files from an SD card, usb flash drive, iPod or iPad via the radio. I also want to be able to use my mobile phone (not necessarily an iPhone) hands free using the function buttons on the steering wheel and via the radio.

I don’t necessarily want to keep the 6CD multi changer.

What is the best option?

Dice Mediabridge 1500 will do all you ask. You will have to give up the 6 disc changer, but it has
- iPod / iPhone interface
- USB
- Bluetooth handsfree
- Bluetooth audio streaming
- Works through existing headunit

You could also fit one of the Parrot Hands free devices also..great piece of kit that allows you to use all the cars OEM functions as well..

Cheers for that.

I’ve looked at the Parrot equipment and it does seem ok, its just that I wanted something a bit more integrated into the oem set up that didn’t look so much of an add on.

After researching this afternoon I do like everything about the Dice Mediabridge 1500 suggested by danmiddle2, its exactly what I was after

Thanks again

If you do decide to go with the Dice, there is a very good installation tutorial here:

Probably a good decision. I went for the Parrot and it's pretty poor. Callers hear an echo - hard to have a conversation when travelling above 40mph and the remote buttons seem to work on a random basis. Grrrrr!
