Bluetooth volume ??

Hi All,

My zed has factory bluetooth and all works fine except for volume. It is paired with an iPhone 5, and whilst I can maximise the volume on the phone, there doesn't appear to be an easy way to increase the call volume in the car. Thus even with the iPhone volume to maximum, it can be difficult to hear what the caller is saying. Does anyone know how I can increase the volume (volume knob and steering wheel controls have no impact) or has anyone found an amplifier to solve this issue ?

It may be caused by bluetooth compatibility issue

Yes, all the phone volumes are set to max, so is the car volume, and still no success :-(
There were no problems with my previous htc, so it has something to do with the version of bluetooth stack used by current android compilation

My dealer told me that they only have problems with Andriod phones!
Samsung wouldn't help solve my BMW / phone interface problems so I was forced down the Apple route. Now it all works without a problem.

Thanks for the responses. The phone is an iphone 5S and I have tried it all when on a call:

- Steering wheel buttons
- radio volume control
- iphone volume buttons

It just stays at a set volume. I haven't actually tried to turn it down,. so will give that a go in the morning to see if the issue is fixed volume or that the max is just to damn low .... Strange thing is that sometimes it seems OK and other times you can hardly hear the caller.

Any thoughts / advice greatly appreciated.

If you have a good relationship with the dealers would call in and bend their ear !
If they are customer focused they should help (and not charge!)
 
You would think the dealer would be helpful given that I also run a new 330d M Sport, but no. They are happy to look at it for me at £140 per hour, minimum billing 30 mins !

I checked this morning and the volume will go up and down with the radio volume knob and steering wheel buttons, it is just that the maximum is very low. Also it sounds like the bluetooth only goes via one of two speakers and not the whole speaker system (might be my imagination though).

Any other ideas anyone ?

It does just go on to one speaker... the speaker has two coils.... and one is used for Bluetooth... some people have added amps I believe.
I have Bluetooth retrofitted and it doesn't work any better than yours!
