Bluetooth Phones again...

Tried to search but couldn't find anything, just been upgraded to a Nokia N95. Tried to pair it with the car, it says pairing successful but then appears to hang just saying "PLEASE WAIT!" until the connection drops out. I'm presuming it won't work.... any advice appreciated.

Also tried an iPhone that also appeared to sync, and brought all the address book up on the nav screen, however when making a call you cannot hear the person on the other end properly, they keep dropping in and out.

So my next move is to get an HTC Touch, does anyone have any experience of pairing this phone?

I hooked up a Nokia N95 and it works apart from the phonebook doesnt transfer. What firmware are you on? I'm on 21.0.016.

I appear to be on V13.0.003, would you suggest a web update?

It depends, if you have a branded phone you may not be able to update. Give it a try first though, as it would be the simplest method. Other alternative is to de-brand it and then you can install 21.0.016.

Yes just read about it being an Orange phone on N95Users. I think it might have to go back and get swapped for the HTC. Thanks for the help though

Fair enough... de-branding is quite straight forward though, I did it the other day as mine was t-mobile.

If I debrand it and run the latest firmware, will it deffo work with the car kit, just doesn't do the address book? So i take it you dial using the phone when it's linked to the car instead of using the nav screen?

mmm, not sure as I dont have the nav on mine... I havent actually made a call on mine yet so I cant confirm how you'd make an outgoing call.
