Bluetooth Phonebook

Sorry to keep on pestering but

Does anyone know how to delete/organize phonebook on the bluetooth prep on Z4? I've searched the forum and found you could have several secret function if you had voice controll - unfortunately I dont have one. I found a owner's manual and there seem to be no mention of deleting or changing the order of phonebook.

At the moment I had to use silly names to put important people on top of the list e.g. my wife's phone name had to be re-labelled as "Aa wife" to bring it to top etc. Its do-able but annoying!

I'm not sure if it helps with what you are trying to achieve but another member kindly helped me to filter down contacts. I created a sub group within my Outlook called 'BMW sync' as it was easily identifiable.

All contacts I wanted were then given this category and so when pushing the address book to the ULF I selected only category BMW sync (in the menu on all Blackberries and I'm sure other phones too) and thus trimmed down my hundreds of contacts to just a small group to be on the car phonebook and thus easy to scroll through, rather than the hundreds of business and personal contacts in Outlook. Made it easily manageable

BTW - Liverpool - lovely city these days - spent today working in the city centre :)

I'm glad you like Liverpool :) I wasn't born here but I remember coming here 16 years ago and a kid in the corner shop asked his mom why I was speaking in a different accent  We've come a long way since! Hope our pot hole heaven didn't damage your zed. I swear we have more bump then a teenager's face.

I've got sony C902 and it seems to push all of its phonebook content to the bluetooth as it connects - I dont even get asked if I want the phonebook to be uploaded. May be I should just buy a new phone - was thinking of iphone but its price is a bit steep, esp as I wanted to put a few more things on my new zed.

You're not kiddin' - I swerved around a few potential front end breakers, especially around the edge of the city

Check in your bluetooth options for the z4 paired entry. There is likely to be an option to set or select categories. That's where it is on Blackeberry.

I had a c902 and now a c905... both have no concept of categories and no way of specifying which contacts to push to the car
