bluetooth not working, bits unpluged, fuse 5 blown.

Guys,

I recently got a 2006, Z4, 3.0 si, E86.





the phone function did not work at all. the cigarette lighter did not work. the fuse was blown, no. 5.

I checked all the other fuses and found them to be ok.

then I started looking in the boot. I found that this was disconnected...



this was also disconnected...



i think everything is connected correctly...




So now that i have plugged in everything, the nav screen shows an option for the telephone, and it searches for the phone, an iphone 5, but it nevers finds it, so what next, ideas please!!!

oh and whats this an amp?

There is a button in the pull down center console between the seats where the phone cradle is,set your phone searching and press this button for 3 seconds

I cant remember which way its done,try searching with your phone and just pressing the button, if that doesn't work then try the software search too, one will work, I had the same problem

I think you need to search for the car, not search for the phone.
Hold down the console button for 3 seconds and scan from your phone, then you should see he last 7 digits of your chassis number appear on your phone if it finds the car. Then pair them using the password which looks like 0120 in your case.

I think there may be a bit of ignition switching involved too if I remember correctly.

It's harder than that, you can't just press the button for three seconds. There is a sequence to follow including having the ignition switch in the right place.

Ignition on zero, press button for three seconds, then holding button turn ignition to one and hold for a further three second then release button.

Hopefully that will get you working.

thanks guys, but all of this has not helped.

i have pressed an held this button for 3 sec.s turned the ignition to the first position while still holding down the button and ten released after 3 sec.s...


I have also done this on the steering wheel...


there is also a button on the radio...


none of this had any effect.

when i chose telephone in the software it starts searching and then after a while says active telephone...


the software version is 4-1/91

Yes, the iPhone searches but never finds anything

I have restarted iPhone and no change.
