Bluetooth and Blackberry Curve Incompatability

The Bluetooth does not work with the company Blackberry now, but when I first had the car three years ago it did for over a year and then stopped. The Z4is a 2004 3.0i.

Since then i have tried a Blackberry ear piece whivh works fine away from the car, but does not work when in the car. Why is this, do I need to turn off the Bluetooth in the car??

Any sensible suggestions???

Weird, but something similar happened to me recently. If you don't use the headset, does the phone connect to the car at all ? If it does are you just getting silence when you ring or are called ? If so, guess it cold be a loose wire or something wrong with the bluetooth kit in the car. If it's not connecting at all then try unpairing them, clearing the pairing(s) from the car (a recent thread had instructions on how o do this in it - search for blue tooth and iPhone 4 you should find it) and starting from scratch. You might need to try the pairing sequence a few times before (if) it works.

I have a Blackberry 8900, which I think is a Curve - a few weeks ago it just stopped connecting, tried everything to sort it, cancelled the pairing, wouldn't re-pair, did it iver and over again, then all of a sudden the phone asked me for the PIN... And still didn't connect. I stomped off in a huff, and the next day when I got in it all worked again.

Not sure if you could ask an Indy to have a look if nothing works... Hopefully someone techy on here will be along in a bit...
 
I have had a curve in the past in both my Z4s and they worked fine. You may need to clear the SMS messages from the phone as if there are too many on the phone, the connection won't work.
 
My Curve was fine. When I first got the car it wouldn't pair for love nor money and I needed to clear all the memorised phones from the car's bluetooth memory and then it paired and worked fine.
