Bluemusic / Blue Tooth battery drain

Hi

I had a new aftermarket amp/speakers installed along with Bluemusic BT adaptor custom for E86 the model for CD changer as opposed to navigator model and is installed at front to OEM head unit.

My battery when left 2/3 days was flat a couple of times and thought was new amplifier wired wrong and draining power but lights only came on with ignition.

I then discovered when going in car with my BT headphones connected they became disconnected and on checking my mobile discovered BT was connected so this was with no key in engine and now evident drawing power and connected without ignition the bluemusic adaptor or headunit.

Is it Normal to still be connected to BT no key in ignition ?
Any advice on the bluemusic module install if it shouldn’t be drawing power ?

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for ya, but I can definitely give ya a place to look. Forums search fn is great for these things, if you lookup the thread "Streaming Music on Bluetooth" you should find the thread of some people that have installed the blue music thing, and they should be more knowledgeable on the problem you're having. Theres also some thread links in that thread (No idea how to link threads otherwise I would have provided it here) for even more people.

I've had the bluemusic dongle and now have the blue speak one connected to the CD player plugs in the boot firewall with no issues. My battery lasts a couple of weeks at least (between uses or hooking up the trickle charger)

Just an update it ended up being nothing to do with audio and after testing discovered it was a failed battery but my focus wasn’t on that originally as when changing Tyres some weeks before I got a free battery health check which was told battery in optimum health….
