Blue smoke on acceleration

If it was an Old British engine, I would say that the car is breathing heavily, due to wear in the engines cylinder bores or piston rings being worn.
If its Blue smoke going down hills then accelerating, it would probably be valve stem oil seals on the cylinder head.
I could well be completely wrong though.

Replaced my ccv recently due to it being gummed up and the oil consumption being high. However have noticed if I’m idling for 2+ minutes and then accelerating, I get clouds of blue/grey smoke!
Any help on what this could be?

When the ccv stops working properly it coats the inlet manifold with engine oil, unless it’s cleaned i can imagine it would carry on being burnt for some time.
