New Years Day.

Tire smacks a pothole not too hard but sensor light comes on. I don't know it but the tire is sliced. My fault but at least the wheel isn't cracked.

Can of fix a flats pour out through the lip where the tire was sliced.

Newark, NJ 10pm

Used BMW Assist to call BMW Roadside Assistance. They tell me an hour and a half.

An hour and a half later I call to hear BMW Roadside had a techinical error and they never transferred my location to the tow truck. :x

Sorry sir, it will be another 45 mintutes. Middle of downtown Newark, NJ. No worries, safest place on earth at 2am.

Flatbed comes to take the truck to nearest dealership. Car is not delivered to dealership until 11am. They close at 4pm and dealership doesn't call me until 3pm to tell me the tire is out of stock and they won't have it instock until Monday morning. OK, can I have a loner car? Sorry sir, we are all out. Ummm. There are at least four outside but maybe they need repairs. Wonder if I would have received the same answer had I purchased my car from this dealer?

BMW Service

Love the car but Lexus has better customer service.

shashi27, welcome to the forum.... :driving:
Sorry to hear about your poor experience with the dealership... :(
Was your tire a run flat or regular tire?
One of the reasons I got rid of my RF's many years ago is exactly because of what happened to you. No one stocks them and if your are on a trip and need a replacement you can figure you are going to be stuck waiting a few days for a replacement.

Sorry, been away. The tires were not RFs Those were in my basement. Wouldn't have mattered, appears I sliced the sidewall. Oh well, all is right with the world now that she is back. I love this car, and I haven't even had the top down yet!
