Black Z4MC - 35k, nav @ £16k

I think "reasonable" is spot on.

Pretty well specced (Doesn't mention heated seats, but with Nav and Cruise I'd be surprised if it didn't), but then it isn't a rare colour (seems to be sapphire black) nor is it kitted out with CSLs etc.

I don't think this car is worth £16.5k, but if you could get it for £15.5k you'd have a good deal.

What will you be looking for in an MC Jimmy?

I'm going to be in the market June/ July so need to know what cars to hide from you

Hopefully i can get sorted and out of your way before then! i'm ready and waiting now :(

Ideally a high spec low miler, given the choice i fell in love with Imola/Champagne, but they're pretty rare it seems. Also a fan of interlagos, midnight, silver, grey - dont mind beyond that really! I like the exterior/interior colour contrasts i think :)

We can then go on a newbie hoon! ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't have heated seats. There are some strangely spec'd ///M's out there. Some people hate heated seats and it is a coupe after all.

True, and I suppose with most ///M's being summer toys, why would you need heated seats?

Absolutely!! :driving:

All that seems to be happening while i wait for a car that ticks my boxes, is that i'm reading increasingly older z4-forums threads and learning more about the interesting crowd of people we have here!

What spec are you looking for Steven?:)

Haha do explain?

I'm still in two minds.

My first option is to look for a high specced (sat nav and CSLs) low mileage queen (<30k) with a budget of £17k.

My second is to look for a lower specced (no sat nav) mid mileage example (40-50k) with a budget of £15k.

In either event, I'd be looking colour wise for:

Space Grey
Sepand Bronze
Midnight Blue
Monaco Blue
Carbon Black
Titanium Silver
Alpine White

Which gives me 139 potential cars to choose from. I'm not too fussy about interiors, but I'm not a fan of red leather and the trim must be carbon leather.

I would open my seach to Interlagos and Imola also, but only if they were kicking about in OEM CSLs.

To add to the above, obviously the rarity of the colour would make me more flexible on areas of compromise. i.e. I'd compromise on a lot for a Sepang Bronze car, but an interlagos is going to have to be something special.

Scots, Northerners, Southerners, Londoners, Germans, Dutch, Americans, Guys, Gals, Ladies and Gentlemen... Engineers, Techies, Retired, Students .. well.. you ge the point - a huge mixed crowd. Gona make for a good meet or two.

Ah that's good - i'm primarily in the Imola/Interlagos/Midnight boat, with a slight evil temptation towards the Greys, Silers and Blacks. Light interior, dark exterior, or dark exterior, light interior! :) Sadly it looks like the last 3-4 weeks are better than this week for availability, there's been a lot recently (and i've been rushing to sort myself out to get involved..) and now i'm all set and i'm struggling! Sadly i timed my intended purchase date (as of when i began saving last year..) for May/Jun this year, which just happens to be when the sun has come out :(

Having spent so long on the forums, PH, AT, BMW AUC pages i now seem to be an expert at valuations, so my primary concern is getting VFM and a fair deal. You should of heard the conversation i had with Mr Hexagon of Highgate ;)

Completely the same, my search started in November 2011, but a new job, house purchase and relocation has hampered my car purchasing power somewhat. Needless to say I've spent the last 18 months re-saving and continuously scouring the forums/ classifieds. Every time my "perfect" car enters the market and is subsequently sold I shed a tear.

+1

There was grey/red at Buckinghamshire High Performance last week, the guy had no real idea whether they'd sold it or not (i guess they don't care too much about non-lambo/ferrari cars). After asking around about 5 people they managed to cobble together a "we think it's gone, yes its probably gone". Still advertised though.

I think that's been advertised for a long time. Who Knows when it sold.

West Sussex Specialist Cars are the same. A while back they had 3 ///MC's on their website, somebody phoned up only to find they'd all sold. Still two on the site now.

The last "perfect" car for me was a midnight blue with sepang interior and OEM CSLs. Had to take a day off sick when I couldnt get my finances to work :(

Kinda wish i'd saved less money now i'd be jumping on some of the cheaper ones available at the moment!

Alternatively, move to the dark side and go 'vert for summer!
