Black or shadow chrome wheels? Pic request

Hi,

My Z4M is in for a service and I've decided to get the wheels refurbed too as they had a few scuffs on them (CSL wheels). Since they are going to be refurbed, I figure I might as well change the colour too, trouble is I can't decide between satin black or shadow chrome. Oh and my car is red.

I don't suppose anyone has any pics of either of these combinations do they or have them on their car?

Would really appreciate some pics if people are able to share!

I think black would look better on a red zed.

I have a silver one and planning to book mine in to get them powdercoated in anthracite in the next couple of weeks.

Post a side profile picture of your car on here and one of the photoshop wizards will I'm sure do you a couple of images.

Personally I much prefer shades of greys, smoke, etc. on wheels to flat black, unless you have a theme of which it's an integral part
 
Thanks for the pic. Didn't help me decide at all unfortunately....

I don't have any pictures of my car unfortunately... How this is possible I don't know! Quite unusual for me.... There are some of it floating around this site though as I bought it from someone that was on here too... I'll try and search for them.

Black doesnt suit imola red IMHO they best suit OEM finish like Darren Slone's car

thanks for all the pictures. The Shadow Chrome are definitely growing on me I think. Shame no one has them on a red car for me to see what it would look like :)

Darren's new wheels look gorgeous, but I recall he had black M wheels on prior to these and I loved them... Perhaps if he reads this he could post a pic...
 
Black all the way for me. I can't help think that the shadow chrome just looks dirty, especially on more intricate alloy designs. The "shadow" effect looks like a build up of brake dust!

Anyway, always happy to oblige with a bit of photoshopping, so here you go...

...or OEM. Shadow chrome on black or silver cars, IMO of course.
 
Black need to be glossy, as Adamski said before. I stand by my opinion though. Stick some black grilles on too :D
