Black Mountains

I took the zed to the black Mountains today, What a lovely road, I only live 30 miles from this mountain, but what a difference in the weather conditions!!!!

Excellent pictures. The red really comes alive against a snow background. I have fond memories of the roads in that area. May even take a drive down there tomorrow. What was the road condition like ???

Thanks, I must have struck lucky with the camera!!
The road condition was fine, no snow on the roads at all.And they were dry aswell.
There were a couple of people driving VERY slow, but I solved that problem with some bravery :D
theres a nice road across the scotch pines, have driven that?
What part of wales are you from ?
 
Originally from the depths of the valleys. Now living on the outskirts of Cardiff so just a quick blast down the M4. Used to lose days with a bunch of Mini nuts exploring the Beacons and West Wales. Some of the most breathtaking and challenging roads in the UK IMHO

scotch pines is nice, any other really good roads you could recommend?
 
Great pics.
Used to walk a lot in that part of the world. i need to get out in the car more in that area. not far from me, just outside Cardiff
 
I look out at the black mountains everyday. I live about 8 miles from them.

I'd love to meet up for a drive across them with a few members before I part with the Zed after Easter. :driving:

Im up for that, we could me in brynamen, go across the mountain, a cheeky half an ale in the red lion and then back across the mountain :D
