Black leather seat dye???

The bolster on my drivers seat is showing signs of wear, not too bad in truth but I wouldn't mind just touching it up with some leather dye/scuff repair type of product.

Anyone used anything like this, hopefully not too expensive if you have any recommendations?

a little more than I wanted to spend in truth but if it works then I don't mind. Question is with this, do I need the toner, sponges, gloss enhancer etc etc..... or is there a kit with just a dye available.

Also, what colour is my leather in a 2005 SE roadster. It's black but were there more than one variant of black leather?

Not used it but the liquid leather is supposed to be very good

I have used the SCUFFmaster leather dye touch up kits in the past on previous vehicles.

Used a sponge to apply and it worked great! Highly recommend. The preparation is important and the leather must be cleaned and oils removed. The instructions give you all the info.

Mr Wilks will be along soon to suggest shoe polish, he swears by it, so if you have a small area I would look a this option first.

I did consider that idea but scrapped it thinking it would rub off/transfer to my clothing.

Nope it works a treat. Done my seat a couple months ago. 2 minutes work and it looks like new.

tried some good old shoe polish on my drivers seat today, worked a treat rubbed gently into the scuffed bits going to leave it for a couple of hours and see how it looks.

I've used boot polish and it's fine, just don't go Miami Vice and wear a white jacket!

Shoe Polish looks good for about a month and then it just eventually wears off. Might aswell get a proper kit if you want it to last.
