Hi folks,

I've been looking at these for a while and i think I'm gonna order them but before i do can someone offer me a bit of advice;

A) Will these fit?
B) I'll need two more for the side repeaters. What size are these?
C) How easy are they to fit, especially the steering wheel badge given the airbag?

If you want a full set I can recommend this guy. [email protected] I had a set just before Christmas. Just send him the last 7 digits of your chassis number for a quote.

Thanks z8! So are you thinking the same as me now then that the set on Amazon aren't carbon fibre? Just CF effect??
 
If Ian says they will fit, then they will. When he says OEM fitting he means :

The bonnet badge is a genuine c/f roundel set in an OEM 70mm 'frame' (possibly stuck on top but you cannot really tell) - this means that it has long 20-25mm lugs on the back that the OEM self-tapping nuts will screw onto. eBay ones are generally 73mm 3-series boot badges that have had the badge replaced with c/f. They look too big in the fitting point on the bonnet IMO, and require some material removed from each side of the rear to sit flush with the bumper. Being boot badges the lugs are too short to screw the nuts on... Meaning they need secured with silicone... Meaning they are easily nicked - I know this because my eBay one was liberated :x

The OEM side repeaters have locating 'holes' on the back for two plastic lugs on the plastic of the repeater themselves - Ian's will have these holes. If you buy the eBay ones they are identical to the Z boot badge in that they have two short lugs that need removed and sanded down (to allow the lugs space behind) and they are harder to line up. That said, I just got three boot badges from Ian as they are cheaper and it's not a big job.

When I have replaced mine I have gone back to Ian and would do so again. I wouldn't risk my money on eBay - though my wheel caps came from there... But they are loose and need silicone to stay in place. I reckon, based on my experience of his products, that Ian's will be set in OEM frames that fit perfectly.

I had them years ago from him and also can say they are good quality and look real also they all fit perfect as mentioned above.
