Black alloys

I currently have the 296's on my blue 30i. I am debating blacking some things out for example some bits of chrome, headlights and possibly the alloys. I do like the current look of the car but i also think it would look great with a 'stealthy' look. If i was to get my alloys black what would look better, gloss black or matte black. I really cant decide :headbang:

There’s an app called Wheels on where it lets you put different wheels on your own car. You can either used their preloaded wheels, lots of different choices and colours. Or if you can find 296’s in black/Matt you can import them onto your own car via a picture and crop option within the app and see which you prefer

I'm a big black wheel fan but on deep sea blue id stay with silver or maybe go for a shadow chrome , ive seen that combo & it works very well .

Niether! I am really not a big fan of black wheels at all. Shadow chrome is alright on certain coloured cars but I think with the blue car silver or a darker grey would look best but that is just MHO!

I wouldn't put black wheels on a Deep Sea Blue car either, but I reckon Shadow Chrome might look pretty good if you want a change from silver.

My baby with black gloss alloys :driving:
Sorry misread post definitely silver :headbang:

I have black gloss on my white 28i. It came that way and took a little time to get used to, but now I prefer them. They make a good contrast on a light car but as others say its probably too much on a dark car. Whilst i like the gloss on my car, they are a real pain to keep clean, as in just a drive around the block collects dust.

No. Black looses detail and makes them look smaller.. silver, grey, chrome, anything but black.

Not on blue. Black on silver, red, grey, white and even black if your going for the full on stealth look. But not for me on blue for the reasons previously mentioned above.
That said I'm still torn between silver 326's or gloss black Zito 935's on our white E89.

No rims not split why ??

They tend to start corroding again much faster if not split during a refurb. But then again it does typically cost a lot to split and refurb them so you could probably do them again if it comes to it for circa the same money as one split wheel job.

Thanks Mack didn’t know that. I didn’t fancy snapping bolts so stayed one Colour I did want the outside’s silver but it was too expensive to find out. Thanks for info

Talking of expense or lack of it, Mr roadster, be careful on those Nankangs.
