Bizarre Pricing on 35is retail.

Just looking at retail prices for a new 35i and 35is...

A 35i DCT (M Sport) is £44,295. A 35is (which is standard with DCT and M Sport kit) is £45,350. Bizarre pricing. The gap between each power iteration has always been around 4-5K, yet here its 1K ?
 
The same is the case with X5 models, difference between a 30d M Sport and a 40d M Sport is also about £1500 or so.
 
Yep, factor in the fact that adaptive suspension is also standard on the 35is and costs £660 on the 35i. So why are there so many more used 35i with DCT than the 35is?
 
also the 35is comes with adaptive suspention as standard which is another £660. making like for like only £395 different! that makes the 35is a bit of a no brainer if you are looking at the 35i surely?!
 
Perhaps they are phasing out the 35i? Seems a pointless car in the line up.

No not had time to go see that IS yet, its over an hour away and I want to see it in the light rather than the dark after I leave the office (no colour comments people!). I'm trying to make time this weekend to pop over and take a look.
