Bilstein B4's and eibach springs.

Morning All,

Right I'm after just rear shocks for my 2007 E86 Z4M Coupe. I'm 90% certain B4s are the ones, but is there a particular model number?

I have googled it to death, and think its a simple question, but now I'm wrapped in is lowering heights tec. my car is standard in terms of suspension apart from what I believe to be eibach springs, the paperwork has spacers and the rear springs are blue in colour.

Sorry to bring up such an old post. I got a set of H&R springs for my 2.5i E85, would the B4's be OK on them or would I have to get the B8's?
Depends on the spring heights of course, but B4s should be fine.

Are B4 springs just a standard item, or are there brand (BMW, Volvo etc) variants?
They are OEM level equivalents. The standard OEM shock for E85/86 are Sachs.

Amended: Sorry just realised this was regarding springs not shocks.

I have found these B4s, but when I go to check out it then tells me they wont be the right fit?

Hi, I was doing quite a lot of reading up about different suspension set-ups for my MC because I find the H & R coil-overs it came with very crashy.

But all that has gone on hold for now thanks to lockdown. :(

Anyway what I did find was that Bilstein offer B4s or B8s for most E85/86s, but only B6s for the Ms going by this thread:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=109057&start=15 - and when I went on Demon Tweeks website I found Bilstein Part Numbers 35-141662 and 35-141679 for the fronts and 24-141680 for the rears (they aren't sided). And I'm pretty sure these are what you get in the B12 kit, along with the Eibach springs.

I found the whole thing confusing TBH, but I think reading about suspension options on any thread that isn't specifically about Ms is likely to just add to the confusion!
