Biker Crash Video (A537)

Braking with the front brakes in a curve will throw you into the other lane, while leaning more and power on will pull you through the curve. As far as trying to steer the bike or trying to turn the bike actually turnning the handlebars to the right will make the bike turn left and vice versa.

When the handlebar is turned right at highway speed the bike will dip or lean more to the left.

We've all done things on the road we shouldn't have. At least this guy has the shoulders broad enough to publicly admit the error of his ways. He didn't have to share that video after all (or do a TV interview either).

The feckless chav probably did it to get on the TV and to be a youtube sensation and as proof so he can claim extra benefits for having a bit of "whiplash"

He probably would've made it round had he turned/leaned over a bit more. To me, he slowed, saw the car, panicked then straightened and stood the bike up. Also, as you say, could've avoided the whole thing with appropriate speed and positioning. Beautiful thing hindsight though. I'm guessing most riders have made the same mistake too just without the crashing.
He was going too fast at that point I think, he would have ran wide whether the car was there or not, think I may have to watch it again

And yes I have done it/come close at least on more than one occasion. Taking a bend at a speed you think is appropriate, then realising its tighter than you thought. It's the only way to really learn but shouldn't really be done on the road. But I'm sure most of us are guilty of it. It does scare me but I think a lot of us can't help pushing our luck a bit.
