This reminds me of a Pontiac solstice , or at least that's what I think it is called , quite popular mainland Europe and not an unattractive car , noisy bloody thing though after being sat behind one in a traffic jam in France

That was exactly my thinking - the Jaguar is even a hatchback (albeit hinged on the side not the top)!

I own one of the 1266 Solstice coupes, and with 200 less lbs. than a Z4, and with 375 bhp (the way I have set mine up) they are a delight to drive. My Z4m coupe is prettier though!

That's the one I meant , although the few I've seen in Europe have been convertibles .
My memories of Morgan ownership go back over 50 years. I may forget what I had for breakfast this morning, or where I put the car keys, but I recall driving the Morgan as if it were yesterday. With the 1340cc Ford 109E engine, tuned at the Morgan works in Malvern Link to improve performance substantially (Cosworth conversion), the power and handling were perfectly matched. I may have lusted for the +8 with the Rover V8 at the time so I could dice with XKE's, but enjoyed the car enough to bring it to Canada when my military commitment in Germany was over in September 1964. Alas, I was obliged to sell it when I decided to get married in 1966. I still have the same wife, though.
