Bi-Xenon light problems, driving me mad!

Hi all,

I've been having some bi-xenon headlight problems on my e86. Initially I had both lights get very wet inside and both had their ballasts stop working, I have since replaced them and dried both out completely. I noticed the casing on the driver's side one is cracked and attempted a fix with silicone sealant but that's not worked (or the rear housing cover is leaky of course...). However less than 24hrs after fixing my driver's side light it has got wet again and I suspect the water may have killed the ballast...

Now for the actual question: Would it be possible to buy a facelift halogen headlight and swap out the internals for the xenon ones?

Or I suppose does anyone have a good xenon casing I could buy??

Cheers in advance!

When you plugged the ballast in on the top of your headlight it’s best to add a bead of sealant and then screw down. Stops and moisture or water getting in and killing the ballast.
I’m not sure about swap over internals to a halogen unit. Never really looked into it.
Probably best just to buy a debit xenon unit.
They do come up on eBay for sensible money from time to time
