Now the wintry nights are closing in I've noticed my drivers side headlamp is casting a beam which shakes up and down - mostly noticeable on reflections from signs when going over small undulations in the road or following cars in traffic.
The auto levelling seems to be working fine on both lamps so I suspect it's either a manufacturing defect inside the lamp or its mounting (feels solidly mounted to me).
Anybody else had similar and successfully diagnosed/fixed under the BMW mondial warrantee? Google brings up similar issues on other bmws pointing at a broken lamp adjuster mount. I did spot some orange paint on the vertical adjuster cogs which was not on the passenger unit.
