Best way to maintain multi piston calipers

Hi all,

Bought a set of KSport 8 Pot calipers recently and plan on fitting them this weekend.

I have never had multi piston calipers before can anyone give me any tips for maintaining them?

I was going to put some cera tec grease behind the pads etc is this the thing to do? Or best to put nothing on them?

They don’t have dust seals so does this mean I’ll need to take the pads out regularly and give them a clean etc?

What should I be using to clean the pistons etc.

Sorry about the potentially daft questions, this is all new to me and I want to get it right that’s all and prolong the life of the calipers etc

Any other advise would be great as I know some of you run multi piston calipers.

Thanks

I'm guessing that you will get several different answers depending on personal preference and ideas can vary e.g. on the oem brakes TIS says to use nothing on things like slide pins but most of us can't resist a dab of something :)

Personally I'd ask the UK manufacturers for advice as a starting point.
