I'm about to buy some Silent Coat Sound Deadening Sheets but just wondered… It comes in either 2mm or 4mm sheets. Will I notice much more difference if I use the 4mm?

- 10 Sheet (2mm)/Tile Pack (187 x 265mm sheet size - 5.3 sq.ft) costs around £15
- 8 Sheet (2mm)/Tile Pack (375 x 265mm sheet size - 8.5 sq.ft) costs around £25 or

- 6 Sheet (4mm)/Tile Pack (375 x 265mm sheet size - 6.45sq.ft) costs around £25

I'd imagine that you'd get improved results with the 4mm.

That said, I don't really think my results could be better with a far cheaper product in a width that fits perfectly into the small space.

Finally got around to doing this today with the 2mm Silent Coat and tbh, I was expecting a bit more of a thud when closing the door :|

Think I might open it all up again and stick another 2mm layer on top of the one I did today to see if that helps.

I'm not sure what difference 2mm would make to be honest. The flashing tape I used will be at least 3-4mm thick.

Another layer on top will undoubtedly make a difference.
