Best product for volcanic dust!

I seem to remember in one of those films on the Discovery channel that volcanic ash/dust comprises millions of tiny glass particles which are very abrasive. Be careful washing your car this weekend, especially you guys North of the wall. I recommend an extra long soaking with the hose/foam lance before you start. :)
 
Someone's said that there's little chance of it falling on the UK...

but still, glad my outdoor cover arrived when it did!
 
Hmm, on the news tonight dust may be falling in Scotland and even into England by tomorrow, and it does contain glass (silica) particles. Keep that car cover on :)
 
I was supposed to fly back this afternoon into heathrow from belgrade... took me a two other collegues nearly 16 hours!!!! flight to paris, rented a car and drove to calais, ferry to dover, taxi to heathrow, picked up collegues car and he took us home! cost...? £1400! Thank god it can be expensed! :P

I got my cover on and washed it last weekend, so don't need to do anything this weekend in terms of cleaning as it's not been used since.
 
I cleaned my car today - maybe its my imagination but i cleaned my car - then clayed it. left it for an hour or two and was going to wax it (waiting for the sun to move) and there was a fine layer of dust on it -the wind is pretty calm too.

Needless to say i hosed it down again and then waxed it.

I've sent my US colleagues home at last. Due to fly out Thursday. ended up Eurostar to Paris today. Train to Milan tomorrow and flight to JFK, then connect to LA. Normally a direct LHR to LAX simple trip. Our hotel also raised the room rate from £90 to £320 until I pointed out my corporate account :)

Not your imagination aquazi,

I Cleaned, polished & gave my motor 2 coats of AG HD Wax on Friday night then garaged the car overnight. Took it out of the garage on Saturday morning, and by mid day, it was covered in a fine layer of dust too. Nothing that the Megs Speed Detailer couldn't cope with though :thumbsup:
