Best place for car audio in Glasgow?

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the best place for car audio solutions in the Glasgow area? Been looking at upgrading to give me iPod and bluetooth phone connectivity (so far narrowed it down to one of the Parrott sets or an Alpine headunit). My only concern is that the only place I've really found is Halfords. Also went to Beaver Audio on Great Western Road but found them surprisingly expensive.

Would like to keep my options open - anyone got any bright ideas for where to go? Or even their own opinion of my best options?
 
If you go the parrot route the Mki9100/9200 are great bits of kit. I fitted a 9100 to my mates transit the other week and will be fitting a 9200 to a mates range rover vogue. They work very well and are really easy to fit.

The only problem with them is that they use there only internal amp when using iPod and handsfree to power your speakers so sound quality although good is limited.
 
If you are near the south side, this place had a good reputation a few years ago (I used to work in the motor trade in a previous life!)

Its not far from Hampden / Victoria hospital (might be a good idea to give it a miss on saturday afternoon though - cup final)
 
Cheers Gazza - might have a look later this week. Tried Drivers earlier today - looks like it's all shut up now! Then went round to Beaver Audio on Great Western Road. Guys were really knowledgeable (especially about Alpine), but quite pricey - even more so than Halfords!

Says on the website they're only open 8.30am - 2.30pm on a Saturday and 8.30am to 5.30am weekdays.
 
Yeah I noticed that on the site but it was about 1.30pm when I turned up and it kind of looked abandoned! Might try and give them a call later.

And I like how it looks like evil monkey is pointing accusingly at my quote. :)
 
JimmyPop - just seen this post. Don't know if you have tried this place. There's a pub called The Maltman in Renfield Street, go in there on a Friday night and ask for Jimmy, he's normally at the far end of the bar. Can get you anything you like. :evil:

I'm sure he can, but does it involve the cars parked outside ending up with broken windows and a big empty space where a headunit used to be?! :rofl:
