Depends if you had any morals. But I guess to be able to create this amount of wealth for yourself, probably very few, if any. :fuelfire:
 
It's common in Germany when the prosecution feel that it would be very difficult and very expensive to reach a decision of "guilty" for all parties to agree a settlement fee that satisfies all parties but does not have the associated 'guilty' or ''not guilty' tag.
Saves the Government loads of money on cases which would be difficult to prove and also leads to money going into their funds instead of, in this case, millions being paid to lawyers/barristers.
It's worth us considering instead of spending mahoosive amounts on dodgy cases against people who can afford to get the very, very, very best lawyers to defend them and make prosecution difficult?
I know that that smacks of "The rich get more / different justice than the poor" but it's not always the case as many high profile cases that have cost the State many millions and then lost have actually done on Legal Aid!
Just MHO but we should consider this in the UK as far as I'm concerned! (If you can't guarantee putting them away then make them pay and save both sides from funding the lawyers - who always 'win') :)

Exactly what I was thinking driving home, and was going to post to that effect.
