flatout, just watched your vid

I could hear the engine being reigned in when trying to put down power after a corner... frustrating feeling mate. Next time you know, a couple of laps to warm everything and then DSC off! (Until the tires get greasy and/or the brakes start fading.)

By the way what was that grinding noise during some hard cornering? It can be heard at 05:10 for example.

You also sound like you had Sport mode on, am i right? It tends to cause some sloppy driving during mid-corner. I know it may be easier to heel-toe with it ON at first but keep practising without it and you'll get the hang of it very quickly. I used to attack mountain roads with Sport ON too because it was much easier for me to heel-toe but i found that my throttle control was far too clumsy during cornering so i forced myself to drive without it until i got heel-toeing down with Sport OFF. Much smoother now.

Thanks for the tip on the sports button.. TC was a nightmare especially when your pressing :headbang: ... will defo try turning it off after a few laps next time round :fuelfire: . Not sure what the noise is but i think its the manifold (super spint) not quite clearing the steering column - probably needs adjusting slightly as it only happened when i was really loading the FR wheel.

Maybe it's the manifold heatshield? Once on a particularly gruelling and long mountain drive with a mate my car suddenly started making a very loud grinding, metal-on-metal noise. I was scared shitless and stopped immediately to see what was wrong. Initially i thought that a small stone might have gotten wedged between one of the the brake discs and the protection plate behind it (happened to a friend of mine a few months earlier), we still popped the hood to have a look inside though and it turns out it was the heatshield between the firewall and the engine bay, the steering column passes through a square hole in that heatshield, from the intense heat it became so soft and pliable that the metal was bent and was rubbing on the steering column causing that awful sound everytime i turned. I just bent the metal back to its place and carried on! It was that pliable!
