Beading

I have to say, I hate nothing more than rain, being a convertible owner, it's the worst possible weather.

That being said, there's nothing better than coming out to find its rained, and all the water is in nice little beads. After a quick blast to 70, you find the car is virtually dry. It it just prove all the hard graft was worth it.

This is going to stink of OCD, but I've even used the thin nozzle on a wet vac to remove excess water after washing convertibles before, same principle i guess!

It has been raining here all day - it was raining when I got up at 7am, rained all the way through the rugby festival I was at with my U12 squad (who were bloody miserable by the end...), it was raining when we finished at 2.30pm, it was raining when I got home an hour later, and it is still raining now :x

However, I waxed my car for the first time yesterday (first time I have waxed any car, ever) and the results have made the rain worthwhile as I have popped my beading photos cherry (apologies for the crappy Berry pics).

The boot (not sure why my beads have nuclei :? ) :

I love the way small beads, become big beads, and then they gliiiiiiiiide off the car  I promised the wife I only had to wax the car twice a year... I now know I lied

One thing though - does anyone else thing this is potentially hazardous to driving safety ? I was driving along and over about 30mph I was becoming mesmerised by the beads on the bonnet rushing towards me :w00t:

LOL

I've used a leaf blower to remove excess water 8) ….. works great on a motorbike (BMW 1150 GSAdventure of course). Too many nooks and crannies to dry by hand  , and the leaf blower works a treat. It should have my Z4 headless in a very short time
