Battle of the Zs Waxes that is

Found this interesting because I've heard so much about Zaino so I was looking for some reviews. Found this well thought out comparison between Zaino and Zymol as well as Meguiars. I use Meguiars but I've seen people's pics with the Zaino and they look fabulous. Morale of this story don't pay $144 for NSX wax. :) Anyway, here's the link.

Tried Zaino about 6 years ago, and loved the look, but found it a bit of a PITA to apply (just soooo many layers and drying time between).

Had another go with it last year now they've got the ZFX curing additive and haven't looked back. The Z8 finishing sealant gives such an awesome wet look!

I may have to look into that again. The multiple steps (I don't have a polisher) were just TOO much. I've always liked Megs gold and it's easy enough I don't have a problem with waxing more often.

The Zymol liquid is great as it smells like bubblegum..... Ill get my coat

In all fairness though, im not a hardcore car cleaner, but after a quick clay bar, the Zymol looks and feels fantastic on my old red VX and the Z4 with a robust longevity.

I use autoglym. Good shine and easy to put on and off but get fed up with the white dust residue.
Whats a good wax, easy on/off but no dust and avaiable from halfords

I used to use Megs Nxttech wax, was good but only lasted 2/3 weeks tops - check out Dodo Juice - buy it online, you won't be disappointed.

It costs more, but lasts much longer so actually saves money.

I like Zymol - great shine. The downside is that it doesn't last - 3 weeks, 4 if the car is garaged and doesn't see bad weather.

Mik if you are talking about AG SRP its a polish not a wax

I use AG SRP followed by AG EGP a sealant they make a good base working by hand then top off with Victoria Concours.

Autoglym now do a Wax available from Halfords look on here for reviews http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/index.php?s=ede849180f8598ed05e8ebb562e2a748

I have been using Duragloss products for years.

Love the shine and easy to use!
Lasts for a long time!

I have tried both Z's and Klasse but have gone back to Duragloss everytime.

One time I was having issues so I called the customer service number told the operator what was going on and she connected me to the owner of the company who is a chemist that formulated the wax.
Talk about customer service. He called me back the next day to see how I made out!

I use autoglym super resin polish...do i still need to use a wax ASWELL??? If so do i put the wax on after the resin polish???

When I bought my car, I asked the sales person what he used (he had a z4 too). He said raceglaze. I knew nothing about waxing at that time, so I was going to get my car waxed by a detailer. I asked him what he used as well. He said raceglaze too! Considering the sales person and detailer were in cities 100 miles apart and I had never waxed a car before, I couldn't ask for a better recommendation. Been using it ever since. For someone on the go, it's quick, easy, and looks great to my novice eye.
