Battery

Hi All,

My battery is dead and taking no charge so I need a new one.

I was looking at a Bosch Silver S4 but I don't know the spec that a 3.0i z4 needs.

Does anyone else know?

Don't know if its an option for you (over there), but I run the optima red top in all of my vehicles (except the Z as it has a small "race" battery). I have had very good luck with the optima! When I say good luck, I mean most car batteries only last about 2 years out here in the 115 degree (46C) summer heat, yet I am going on year 7 with the one in my Tahoe. They are not an exact fit, but its very easy to mod the hold down (I did it for my wife's E46). :)
 
Personally can't say much good about optima after all the failures that I've seen (used to work for a car audio company that used to sell optima)

The S5 AGM batteries are probably the best bang-for-buck though you may wish to look into an XS Power D680 or a Stinger SPV20 (akin to the battery mentioned by v8z4)
