this doesnt specifically pertain to the zed, but i think it might be relevant seeing that it is a bmw.

i was turning my car on last night, it wouldn't start, i then saw the battery light flash on and off, then the ABS light, and then the steering wheel light. i called bmw assist, they came and jumped started the car, and on the way home, i wasn't able to set cruise control.

the stealership says that i need to stop sitting in my car listening to music and that i don't need to take it in for any service seeing as it is now running again. but still.. at 48k... there SHOULDNT be any problems. right?

Sounds like you had a flat batery so you need to find out if the battery is itself getting tired, there is a problem with the charging circuit or you left something running on the car without the engine on.

If it's a one off put the battery on charge and see if it happens again.
If regular then the batery is most likley past it.

48k means nothing - that could be a 1 year old or 10 year old battery. Reckon on 2 to 6 year lifespan if cared for.
