Get the cigarette adapter, I loop it through the steering wheel to prevent driving off!

That's the one, good up to 7 A! But do check to ensure it is maybe a bit cheaper in the Amazon?
Either way, much less faff and I hope it's foolproof (me!!) at preventing drive offs with any cables attached.

And the wire tucks into the gap by the headlight so the bonnet can close.

Ctek shortened the cable but kindly offered to sell you an extension. Hmm, thanks.
