[Battery Drain culprit found?] Urgent - car won't start...

Thanks for that, might be a worthwhile investment!

I just went to the car this evening, having left it parked - battery attached - since doing all the tests on Wednesday. I was going to check the voltage and charge the battery.

Lo and behold, the battery is still at 12.8 volts and the car starts fine.

So perhaps I have an intermittent problem? :headbang:

So this topic deserves an update, seeing as I find it frustrating when I search for things to not find a resolution, and I don't want to be a hypocrite.

Right now, however, there's not much to update. The car continues to start every morning despite me feeling worried it won't. Why the new battery went flat in 48 hours and has since continued to hold charge is beyond me.

But, I will persist on driving the car, and hopefully either I'll a) forget about the problem (and the problem will have disappeared) or b) it will manifest itself again but in a really obvious way.

Fingers crossed. I love the car though

Hi Folks,
I've been following this post since my own battery drain problem has closely paralleled the ones reported above. Typically it takes five days or so to get to a dead battery. I have placed my voltmeter between the negative battery post and the negative cable and watched as the draw fell all the way to zero once I triggered the boot lid lock. I also placed the meter between the red wire and the stud on the back of the alternator to see if I could detect anything flowing that way and found nothing.
I had begun the whole process by pulling fuses and looking for amps that way. I found nothing and that is why I went to checking at the battery.
I have had a few problems with door locks and the alarm triggering on its own. So now I'm thinking I may have GM Module problem. Your thoughts?
