Battery disconnect

Taken the car off the road till march is there any downside (airbag lights,etc) to disconnecting the battery for this period.

I leave my battery on the car and permanently connected to a maintenance charger.

I thought disconnecting the battery didn't cause this. Thought it was due to the battery draining over a period so the car shut things off.

Saying that I would leave connected though on a battery maintainer, as I in fact do.

I could well be wrong an got it wrong way round , I just recall from posts that you don't want it

I disconnected my battery when swapping out for a new one
Asked bmw and answer was no electrics etc dependant upon this car unlike new so no key coding etc needed

I would leave it connected and keep the charge topped up, your windows will not lower or raise when using the doors if you don't.

More to avoid damage to the glass/seal than losing the one touch function

Very true buddy completely forgot
As my battery was miss diagnosed as was alternator regulator that had failed
That's now had a new one fitted and tested and for sale soon
But it spiked my window regulator and motor
So once fitted new battery it had to go to bmw to get work done
All due to a faulty regulator! Hahah
