Afternoon all, my 30i has a BMW battery on board, but I don’t know how long it’s been in the car. Among all the numbers on it is the date hidden somewhere?
I thiunk this only works if any new battery was registered. You could end up throwing away a good battery if it has been replaced and not registered. Pop in to any garage and get a discharge test done, takes a few minutes and will tell you for sure...tintoverano said:hi,
you can read out using software, when it got registered with the car, though it is not production date, if that's what you want

Ah yes, hadn’t seen that. By strange coincidence mine is 21\09 so a week different to yours.... and also 11 years old. Time for a new one methinks !
The car isn’t stop/start, does it need an AGM battery or is a “normal” one sufficient?
