Bassdrive.com

 Mostly Holland. Sometimes UK.
So while I'm waiting for a new throttlebody and cam/crankshaft sensors to arrive so i can fiix my rough idle problem (grrr), a few toys and gadgets arrived today via amazon.

Been wondering how best I can get Bassdrive.com streamed through the top-hifi system and in exploiting the potential of the handy iPod preparation my zed has I thought I would try out a 'Bluetooth dongle' as found on the interwebs. I think i also saw a thread here re same.

The results; amazing!

Sounds fantastic. Stream is via the BT4.0 A2DP protocol and is as clean as a whistle. I'm very particular when it comes to audio quality and use 32bit DSD files at home through a hifi which I dread to think what i paid for in total!
So this came as a very pleasant surprise. Bassdrive, my go-to drum n bass station is streamed through the Tunein app on an old iPhone 4s via my 3g connection, relayed to the mpow bluetooth dongle which sits on the voltage adaptor (to supply the 2.1v required to power it), which in turn sits on top of the 30 pin hardwired ipod adapter as part of the ipod prep kit supplied with the car.

Sadly i'm not able to stream true 24bit files through FLACplayer as the iphone 4s is only a 32bit OS and not a 64bit OS as found on newer iphones but i'm sure it would sound even better.

Very pleased to not have to go digging around behind the dash to install an aux panel and if anyone else is thinking about streaming via iphone/ipod/ipad bt connection i can certainly recommend the following bt dongle:

Mpow Streambot iDock Bluetooth 4.0 A2DP Musik Audio-Empfdnger-Adapter für Bose Sounddock und 30-Pin-Dock-Lautsprecher iPod iPhone https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00V090LQI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_NIB0xbGFXRS0G

Got this from german amazon as I'm located in Holland right now but think i also saw it supplied on uk amazon for about 15 quid.

Would this work with the intravee an then Bluetooth any phone audio

Dunno mate, you'd have to suck it and see.

If intravee takes a signal after the 30pin connector (as source) then i would presume it should work, as the bt dongle is 'upstream' of the connector.

You have excellent taste! Bassdrive.com is one of my fav stations too. In fact if you love the shows I also DJ and have a load of my mixes on my YouTube channel which you might enjoy: (mostly liquid dnb with some Ragga DNB in there for good measure!)

What functionality did you have either the iPhone hard wired. Presume you could control the tracks and playlists through the headunit. If so it might work with the intravee. I just leave an old 80gb iPod connected as I'm not worried about streaming over t'net

Oh we have very similar taste! I have a decent amount of Good Looking Records 12"s including the EPs. My mates and I were really into Bukem, progression session, logical progressions, when we were at uni. It was the pre-cursor to so much liquid dnb I listen to today. My favourite era is 2006 - 2009, the tunes had something special. I have actually done a bassdrive tribute mix part 1, that's on my channel, that focuses on that period and the music inspired by the different show's DJs. It's decent! My latest 2 mixes are also full of classics.

Oh and a load of my mixes are available in 320kbps mp3s in my dropbox. Its linked on the YT channel banner. That should provide just about enough bit rate for your quality hifi system!

Lots of fond memories of stumbling outta Fabric at like 4am, bleary-eyed, dilated pupils, walking down Brick Lane to BagelBake and standing next to the Met's finest ('ello occifer, yalright?') while ordering a salmon and cream cheese on a sesame bagel.
Happy days.
