Basic Aux - Connects2

Hi all, I recently installed a basic aux lead that I pain about £5 for off eBay. Although it works the volume level is quite low, infact I need to turn the stereo to full to hear it.

I was thinking of trying a Connects2. I've used one on a Ford and it was pretty good. I'm only looking for basic aux connection, I don't need power or controlling iPod through stereo/ (car is 2004).

Anyone tried a Connects2?

Yes I tried the connects2 and wasn't that impressed. I was plugging my iPhone 6 into it and had to have the volume turned up full on the iPhone to have a decent volume through the stereo but the worst thing was to fast forward or skip tracks you had to do it on the iPhone you couldn't do it on the stereo head unit which meant taking your eyes off the road ahead for what seemed a long time. I then went the route of fitting a 3rd party head unit with proper iPhone and USB connectivity but after a few weeks I decided to put the BMW business cd unit back in as the third party head unit just didn't look right. I then fitted a Grom Audio unit and that is great I have a USB connection that I can plug my iPhone into or a USB memory stick and still use the radio and CD player. Another good thing is the text comes up with title and album info on the cd head unit. You can even get it working if you have the DSP amp
