Banging???

Hi all. New to your forum and hope you can help. My 2004 Z4 has got a banging noise on the back end when I accelerate hard. (not long bought the car). Like a really hard knock. Would this be down to bushes and if so which are the most likely culprits? Do I need a special tool?

Have you checked your rear springs? Common failure on these cars. You could have a snapped coil. It's usually the tips that break off so have a good old look.

probably diff bushings or subframe bushings. especiallly when it's mainly on shifting

Check your exhaust mounts, one could have broken.
