For me BMW never really helped when they launched the Z4M as that had badges plastered all over it whereas my M3 just had a M badge in front of the 3 on the boot lid, I don't see much harm in it nowadays as its really just the norm...but once upon a time it did make me smile & I couldn't really see the point.

Sadly, I fear that the world will end soon. Can you imagine if someone thought those cars were REAL Ms?

I can't bear the thought. I'm off for a lie down

Doesn't help that BMW have plastered M badges all over non M cars.

Someone at work was telling me that she'd just bought a 1 series M.

Turned out to be a 118d M-Sport

The the least of the problem. Who thought it would be a good idea to paint a car that colour :o

You are only in the incubation period & a love of the PY will happen in good time

my oh my... can you imagine people also dyeing their hair?

........

I really like that phoenixyellow coupe though.

I just laugh when I see people in 318i's and the such with them plastered everywhere. No bother to myself, actually brightens my day up.

And yes, it is bmw's fault for putting them on crap cars, which makes idiots believe their 116d is an ///M.

People have been putting M badges on non-M cars for decades, it's not their fault that any idiot can get their hands on one. However they are doing a great job of cheapening the brand themselves, which isn't helping. I just find it funny too, and if you buy the car then they come off, simple.

I am more interested in why mr wilks is looking at Z4 coupes ... :D
