Bad Luck/terrible quality/wrong istallation

My 2003 Z4's compressor conked out last July 2009, it got replaced with a brand new compressor last August for approx $1000 plus installation charges.

Just yesterday the new compressor conked out again :x

Its the same symptoms like the first one, sudden no cool air and grinding noise upon start and shut down of a/c. this time though grinding noise is much much louder

What do you think caused this?

No idea as to the cause.
Was it an OEM part and done by BMW or local garage?
Should be warrantied if it's only been running for 3 months

Possibly some sort of blockage in the conditioning system?

Eitherway, three months for a new part should equal a free replacement...

Faulty pressure switch? The compressor should not operate if its low on refridgerant (and the lubricant).
